1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF A CODE OF CONDUCT
The code of conduct is intended to ensure that everyone who acts on behalf of companies in
the Avocet Lifting executes their activities in an ethical manner and in line with the
company's values and principles for business practice and personal conduct.
1.2 TO WHOM THE CODE APPLIES
The code applies to companies, individual employees, contracted personnel, and other
people who act on behalf of companies in the Avocet Lifting, hereafter referred to as
"employees". The individual company is hereafter referred to as " Avocet Lifting".
1.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The companies shall, in all their activities, comply with current legislation and regulations,
and actin an ethical and socially responsible manner. The Avocet Lifting attaches
great importance to equality and respect for human rights.
2 THE AVOCET LIFTING'S BUSINESS PRACTICES
2.1 BUSINESS METHODS
The company wishes to be known as a reliable company that delivers quality at the right
time.
Customers and partners should trust the company and its employees. The company and its
employees undertake to comply with current legislation and regulations, live up to high
ethical standards, and act in a socially responsible manner in their business activities.
Employees shall comply with the rules and guidelines set by the customer for each
individual project.
Avocet Lifting will strive to ensure that subcontractors who supply goods and services to the
company comply with equally high ethical standards.
Avocet Lifting's corporate culture shall be characterised by the company's values:

2.2 FAIR COMPETITION
Avocet Lifting sets high standards for business ethics and competes within the framework of
the competition rules that apply in the markets in which Avocet Lifting operates. This
applies in relation to competitors as well as to customers and suppliers.
2.3 BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
Bribery, corruption and anti-competitive practices destroy markets and hinder economic,
social and democratic development. Avocet Lifting does not tolerate, and opposes, any form
of corruption, direct or indirect, bribery or other undue advantages for commercial or
private gain, either for the company or others.
Corruption includes bribes and improper commercial influence. Corruption undermines
legal business activities, distorts competition, destroys a company's reputation, and
exposes companies and individuals to risk.
Bribery involves offering benefits, making payments, giving gifts, or performing services in
order to influence a business agreement in an inappropriate manner. Bribery and
corruption, whether in connection with public employees or commercial entities, can take
place directly or indirectly via a third party. It includes inducements, even though this is
permitted in some countries. Even ignoring suspected bribery and corruption can have
consequences for the company and you personally.
2.4 GIFTS AND HOSPITALITY
Avocet Lifting forbids the offering or acceptance of business benefits, i.e. gifts, hospitality or
other benefits, that may constitute, or appear to constitute, undue influence. Business
benefits may only be accepted or offered if they are moderate with respect to both their
value and frequency, and if the timing and place is appropriate.
If it is clearly business related, an employee may participate in social gatherings and accept
refreshments or entertainment, assuming that the costs can be considered reasonable.
Neither gifts nor hospitality must ever influence business decisions or ever entail
obligations for the employee or Avocet Lifting.
3 PERSONAL CONDUCT
3.1 EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND RESPECT
Avocet Lifting works to create a working environment characterised by equality, diversity
and mutual respect, where everyone has an opportunity to contribute to the company's
success and realise their own potential. Employees and others involved in Avocet Lifting's
activities shall be treated in a manner that does not discriminate in relation to gender,

nationality, social or ethnic origin, political convictions, union membership or other factors.
Avocet Lifting does not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment in any of our places of work.
Avocet Lifting has a fundamental respect for international human rights. Avocet Lifting will
not purchase goods or services based on forced labour, slave labour, child labour, social
dumping, or which are manufactured in opposition to the right to organised labour.
3.2 CONFIDENTIALITY
Avocet Lifting has a duty to protect all confidential information to which the company has
access regardless of whether this is information that belongs to the company or to business
partners, and to not misuse this information. Such confidential information can include
information relating to security, individual people, commercial, technical or contractual
matters, or other types of information protected by law. The duty of confidentiality does
not just apply externally; it also applies in relation to colleagues who do not require the
relevant information for their work. The duty of confidentiality continues to apply after the
employment or other contractual relationship with Avocet Lifting ends.
3.3 PROTECTION OF PROPERTY AND RESOURCES
Employeesmust treat and store Avocet Lifting's assets in a proper manner and protect them
against destruction and misuse. Using Avocet Lifting's buildings, equipment, materials,
capital and other assets in a manner that is not directly connected to the company's
activities is forbidden without the consent of the senior management.
3.4 CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
A conflict of interest exists when a personal matter, participation in external activities, or
interests in another commercial entity influences or is assumed to influence your decisions.
Employees may not work for, nor have ownership interests in, competing companies,
customers or suppliers.
Situations that may result in conflicts between individual, private interests and Avocet Lifting's
interests, or situations that may in some manner have a negative effect on the
company's freedom to act or judgement shall be avoided.
It is always in Avocet Lifting's interests for employees to speak up about ethical problems.
3.5 INSIDE INFORMATION
Inside information is information that can affect the price of securities and which is not
publicly available or generally known in the market.
No one has the right to use, or help others make use of, inside information to obtain
financial advantage for themselves or others. Misuse of information in the buying/selling of
securities is regulated by the General Civil Penal Code.EN_Etiske retningslinjer -UK
3.6 BUYING SEXUAL SERVICES
Avocet Lifting is against the buying of sexual services. Employees must refrain from buying
sexual services when the person concerned is at work ortravelling on business for Avocet Lifting.
3.7 INTOXICANTS
Avocet Lifting is an intoxicant free workplace. No one shall partake, or be under the
influence, of alcohol or other intoxicants while working for Avocet Lifting.
Limited quantities of alcohol may nonetheless be served when appropriate due to local
custom or special occasions, assuming that it is not consumed in combination with the
operation of machinery, driving or other activities that are incompatible with the
consumption of alcohol.
Employees working on projects subject to a general ban on intoxicants must comply with
this during their entire sojourn.
No one shall use or encourage others to use intoxicants in a manner that may reflect poorly
on the user, Avocet Lifting or any business connections.
4 DEALING WITH ETHICAL CHALLENGES
4.1 REPORTING
Avocet Lifting wants an open corporate culture where bringing up concerns and expressing
criticism is accepted. If you experience or observe an unacceptable situation, you should
speak up. An unacceptable situation is defined here as a violation of the law or a breach of
clearly communicated internal guidelines. Reporting such situations is good for Avocet Lifting
and society because the unacceptable situation can then be remedied.
If an employee of Avocet Lifting suspects that a decision or action breaches or could breach
legal or ethical obligations, he or she has both a right and a duty to speak up. You can
report such situations to your immediate supervisor, employee representative, safety
deputy or others in management.
Avocet Lifting will not impose any form of sanction on employees who report possible
breaches of the Avocet Lifting's code of conduct, applicable legislation or other
unacceptable situations in Avocet Lifting's activities in a responsible manner. Avocet Lifting

4.2 CONSEQUENCES OF BREACHING THE CODE OF CONDUCT
Breaches of the Avocet Lifting's code of conduct will not be tolerated. Breaches of
the code may result in disciplinary action, termination/dismissal and reporting to public
authorities.
4.3 LEGAL NOTICE
None of the provisions in this document shall be interpreted as granting rights to third parties.
